Certificates issued by the Registry, excluding LRIT certificates, are issued with a unique tracking number allowing port state officials and other parties to verify their validity immediately upon issuance through a dedicated online verification portal. Once issued, the original certificate must be kept on board at all times and presented upon request to the authorities of any State party when the vessel is within that State’s jurisdiction. Certificates can be verified and authenticated by clicking on the verification link below and entering the certificate number as indicated on the document. Alternatively, the QR code printed on each certificate may be scanned to redirect automatically to the verification portal.
